How do I restore from Google Drive?
Go to Settings → 🗂️ Restore from Drive Backup and tap the Restore button. A dropdown will show up to 7 daily snapshots. Choose the date you want to restore from and tap “Restore Selected Backup.” Your current data will be replaced with the snapshot. Note: you need to be connected to Google Drive for this to work — if prompted, tap Refresh to reconnect first.
What does the laundry basket on the Start panel do?
The laundry basket clears your completed tasks and triggers your Weekly Wins report. When you tap it, all checked-off items are swept away and a summary of what you accomplished is saved. It’s your end-of-day reset button — clear the clutter and celebrate what you got done.
How do I assign a task in Notes & Tasks to a day of the week?
When creating or editing a note or task, look for the day-of-week tags (Mon, Tue, Wed, etc.) and tap the day you want. Tasks tagged with a day will automatically appear in your Start panel on that day of the week. You can also use the Google Calendar import to pull in events with day tags filled in automatically.
Why are my sticky notes turning grey?
That’s working as intended! Sticky notes dim to grey when they’re marked as completed. In the Start panel, tap the checkbox on a task to check it off — it will fade grey to show it’s done. You can then sweep them all away with the 🧺 laundry basket to clear your board. Frozen (put on ice) tasks may also appear greyed out to show they’re not active right now.
Why isn’t my sticky note turning grey?
Check your “Complete For” setting in Settings. If it’s set to a specific day and the note is assigned to a different day, it won’t respond to the complete action. Make sure you’re also tapping the checkbox directly — tapping the note text opens it instead of completing it. If you want to be prompted each time, enable “Ask Complete For Each” in Settings.
Where’s my weekly wins or budget tracking report?
Tap the 🧺 laundry basket on the Start panel to “Clear Completed.” This generates your Weekly Wins report automatically. For budget tracking, make sure “Track Weekly Budget” is enabled in Settings — it appears as part of the wins summary. Previous reports are saved in your Notes & Tasks panel so you can look back on them anytime.
What if I run out of space?
Priority Planner will show a storage warning when you’re approaching your device’s local storage limit (around 5MB). Before you hit the limit, export your data as a CSV or PDF using the export buttons at the top of the app — that saves a full copy to your phone. Then use “Clear Completed” to free up space. Google Drive backup is also a great safety net so nothing is lost.
Can I change the appearance of Priority Planner?
Yes! Go to Settings and look for the skin or theme options. Priority Planner includes a selection of appearance styles to change the look of the app. The change is instant and saved on your device.
How do I keep all my data on my phone only?
Go to Settings → ☁️ Google Drive Backups → toggle it off. When Drive backups are off, no data is ever sent anywhere — everything stays in your device’s local storage. You can also toggle off Google Calendar in Settings to keep that fully local too. Your data never touches our servers regardless.
What’s that pink phone icon in the top corner?
That’s the Check-In Reminder button. Tap it to set a timed notification that will remind you to come back to Priority Planner and check your progress. It’s great for keeping yourself accountable during a work session — set it, put the phone down, and it’ll ping you when it’s time to check back in.
How do I make sure my completed tasks are set to the right day?
In Settings → 📅 Complete For, set it to “Today” so tasks you check off always count toward the current day’s wins. If you’re reviewing a past day, you can switch it temporarily. Enable “Ask Complete For Each” to get a prompt each time you complete a task — useful if you’re checking things off across multiple days at once.
Can I pull my data out to switch to Todoist or Asana?
Yes. Use the export buttons at the top of the app and choose “Export for Todoist” or “Export for Asana.” This downloads a CSV file formatted to import directly into either platform. Everything is generated on your device — no server involved.
Can I pull my data out of the app?
Absolutely. Use the export buttons at the top of the app to download your data as a CSV (spreadsheet) or PDF. Your CSV includes all your notes, tasks, categories, and routines. Everything is generated directly on your device — there’s no server in the middle.
It’s not working?!
First, try clearing the app cache: Android Settings → Apps → Priority Planner → Storage → Clear Cache, then reopen the app. If Google Drive is acting up, look for the yellow “Refresh Google Drive backups” banner — tap it to reconnect. Still stuck? Contact us and we’ll help.
What is “Put on ice”?
“Put on ice” freezes a task for a chosen number of weeks. Frozen tasks disappear from your daily view and automatically thaw back into your planner after the freeze period ends. It’s perfect for tasks you want to revisit later without deleting them — they’ll reappear on their own when the time comes.
What is “Send to Today”?
“Send to Today” takes a task from a future day or your backlog and moves it into today’s active list. It’s a quick way to pull something forward when you’re ready to work on it now — no need to manually change the day tag.
Can I add my own categories?
Yes! Go to Settings → Category Manager. You can create custom categories with your own names and icons. Your new categories show up immediately in Notes & Tasks so you can start using them right away.
Where do I find support?
Start with the intro video — go to Settings → “See Priority Planner Intro Video.” It covers most of the app in 5 minutes. For anything else, contact us. You can also leave a question in a Google Play review and we’ll respond there.
What if I have a question that’s not listed here?
Contact us and we’ll get back to you. You can also leave your question as a Google Play review — we read and respond to all of them. Nothing is too small to ask.
What’s the green grocery cart in the top buttons?
The green grocery cart is a quick-add shortcut for your grocery or shopping list items. Tap it to instantly add a shopping task without navigating away from your current view. Items added this way are filed under the shopping/grocery category so they stay separate from your regular task list.
